A bit about me
I’m a curly haired, Black Country lass, who’s into DIY projects, rescuing plants from the discount section, and planning my next travel adventure. You’ll find me at home with my husband, Ben, and our 3 year old Finleigh, in Bearwood, near Birmingham. That’s where you’ll also find my natural light studio and my favourite outdoor space for photo shoots, Warley Woods, is just a few paces away from my front door.

If you step inside my home, you’ll also find my two moggies, Winnie & Gizmo, and my dad, Norm. We recently renovated my falling down childhood home to its now glorious form. It was exactly like an episode of Grand Designs, with a taste of Hoarding Buried Alive thrown in for good measure. There’s a before and after shot below! Since finishing the renovation, I love nothing more than doing up old furniture or spending time in the garden. There’s always a home project on the go!
I once ran my Students' Union and lead a protest to stop the closure of a entire teaching department, (and won).
Ben and I were married on 30th September 2017. It remains, without a doubt, the wettest wedding either of us have ever been to.
The most cats I’ve ever owned at one time is 8. I’m definitely aiming to top that when I retire.
The Studio, and Warley Woods
For those of you who want to head out and about for photos, I live just a stone’s throw from the gorgeous Warley Woods, otherwise known as the People’s Park. This woodland and landscape has history dating back to 1066 and it’s a beautiful spot to wander and enjoy an afternoon as a family while you have your photos taken at any time of year.
Since renovating my home, I’ve built a natural light studio in my garden and it’s one of my favourite places in the whole world. It’s the perfect space for family and newborn shoots, and it’s an ideal blank canvas for branding photography sessions, too.
The studio is a totally neutral, clean and light space and the light is always perfect for any kind of photo session. It is, of course, warm and welcoming for you and your family. And there’s music and toys on standby to keep little ones happy.
